FutureActuary Team
FutureActuary was founded by qualified Actuary Mark Heller, a highly experienced industry practitioner and educator with a deep understanding of both the actuarial profession and the needs of international students.
Managing Director
Mark Heller
Mark qualified as an Actuary in 1996 and spent 10 years working at AXA, a leading global insurer, before establishing his own actuarial consultancy. In 2008, he moved into academia, joining the University of Kent as a Senior Lecturer in Actuarial Science. During his time at Kent, Mark managed the actuarial team, taught and set exams for many of the IFoA subjects, and helped countless students excel in their actuarial studies and careers. Mark also led international recruitment activities for Kent's actuarial team, and he has extensive experience of working with Asian students and institutions, particularly throughout China and Malaysia. With extensive experience in teaching, exam coaching, and employability skills development, Mark combines industry expertise with in-depth knowledge of the academic sector. His insights ensure that FutureActuary offers tailored, strategic advice to maximise students’ chances of success.
